Web-footed gecko (Palmatogecko sp.) licking its eye. It does this to keep its eyes moist, as it lacks eyelids. Its webbed feet help it move and burrow in the fine, loose sand on which it lives. It inhabits the Namib Desert and is primarily nocturnal, spending the day buried in sand. At night it emerges to hunt small insects and other arthropods. Filmed in Namibia.
