A submarine volcano observed by GLORIA, the long- range side-scan sonar. The sonagraph shows a cratered & possibly moated volcano 1500 metres high on the East Pacific Rise. The crater is 2km across and its base is 10km across. The volcano was found at a water depth of 4000 metres.
