International Space Station (ISS). This photograph was taken from the Space Shuttle Atlantis during the STS-115 mission. The ISS is seen shortly before the spacecraft docked, allowing the astronauts to continue assembling and maintaining the station. The crew of Expedition 13 were living on board at the time. The STS-115 mission launched on 9th September 2006 and returned on 21st September 2006.
