Bohemian waxwing (Bombycilla garrulus) perched in a tree. This bird inhabits coniferous forests throughout northern Europe, Asia and western North America. The female lays between 4 and 6 eggs, which are incubated for around 14 days. The young leave the nest about 13 to 15 days after hatching. The waxwing feeds primarily on berries, but will also take insects during the breeding season. Photographed in Oulu, Finland, in March.
