Brightly painted fishing boats of the Luo people find safe harbour on Lake Victoria at Dunga Beach near Kisumu. The fishermen catch tilapia, nile perch and a small sardine like fish called omena (Stolothrissa tanganicae), which is sun-dried before being taken to market.
