Ramon Llull (1232-1315), Majorcan scholar, alchemist and philosopher. Also known as Raymond Lull and the 'Enlightened Teacher' (Illuminatus), Llull was the author of 'Ars magna' (1305) among other works. He made several attempts to convert North Africa to Christendom.
