Common sundew (Drosera rotundifolia) leaf digesting a trapped insect. The hairs on the leaves of this carnivorous plant secrete a sticky substance that traps and digests passing insects, which are then absorbed to provide nutrients for the plant. Photographed in the Cairngorms National Park, Scotland, UK, in July.
