Japanese anemone and elder berries. White flowers of the Japanese anemone (Anemone x hybrida 'Honorine Jobert'), and berries of the common elder (Sambucus nigra). Both of these plants are perennials and grow to around one metre tall. The anemone blooms in late summer and lasts throughout the autumn. The elder berries ripen from mid- autumn, and are used to make elderberry wine.
