Geranium leaves. Leaves from two geraniums". The Mrs Henry Cox pelargonium (Pelargonium sp.) is a common geranium with ornamental leaves. These are variegated, tri-coloured leaves with a yellow, red and green pattern, as seen here in the upper frame. Herb-robert (Geranium robertianum) has complex, fern-like leaves, those lower on the stem often being reddish in colour. These are seen in the lower frame. The two plants are not closely related since common geraniums such as Mrs Henry Cox are actually classed in a different group to "true" geraniums such as herb-robert."
