Art forgery detection. Magnifying glass on a sheet of authenticated Salvador Dali (1904-1989) signatures. They show all of the different ways he signed his name throughout his life and may be compared with signatures on suspected forgeries. The photograph was taken at the Doerner Institute in Munich, Germany, which is headed by Dr Andreas Burmester. The Institute specializes in the detection of art forgeries by various imaging techniques and chemical analyses.
