Moriz Kaposi. Portrait of the Austrian physician and founder of modern dermatology Moriz Kaposi (1837-1902). Kaposi described and defined many skin diseases. One of these is Kaposi's sarcoma which is a type of skin cancer and is named after him. This particular disease is found notably in the African people and more recently in victims of AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome).
