The nebulizer delivers a fine spray of a carticosteroid or bronchodilator into the throat and bronchial airways. It works using a pump which sends a stream of air across a chamber containing the required drug. The stream of air disperses the drug, which is then delivered via a face mask to the user. Bronchial asthma causes sufferers to have paroxysmal attacks of bronchospasm resulting in severly restricted breathing.
