Wheelchair design. Two wheelchairs made in Cambodia. Both have a wooden frame, because there is no regular supply of tubular steel in the country. The chair on the left was designed by the Motivation Charitable Trust, which began a project in 1993 to design a wheelchair for land mine victims. Motivation believes design is important to produce mobility equipment that enhances the self-esteem and self-respect of the user. These two chairs cost the same to produce.
