MODEL RELEASED. Locomotion research. Researcher fitting a test subject with reflective markers for infrared cameras. They are fitted near his ankles, knees, hips and waist. As he walks, the infrared cameras will be able to record the relative motion of his legs and joints. A computer can then model the way a human walks. This is used to help assess foot and joint disorders, and also treatments such as joint implants and rehabilitation from injury. Photographed at the Movement Analysis Laboratory at the Rizzoli Institute, Bologna, Italy.
