Waterproof bricks being viewed underwater by their developer, Mario Candor. These bricks have been made from clay that has been modified by adding a styrene acrylic copolymer to alter its properties. The copolymer (Acronal S 650) is from the Acronal range by the German company BASF. It makes up 3% of the bricks' weight, improving their strength, making them waterproof and removing the need to fire them. The product will be launched in 2003.
