Dodder parasitising a tomato plant. Dodder (Cuscuta sp.) tendril (yellow) wrapping itself around a tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) plant. Research has shown that the dodder, which is parasitic on tomato plants, uses the unique odours given off by the tomato to recognise and grow towards the plant.
