Museum of Natural History, Oxford. Iguanodon dinosaur fossil skeleton display in the central court of the Oxford University Museum of Natural History. This is a cast of one of a group of Iguanodon bernissartensis specimens found in 1878 in a coal mine in Bernissart, Belgium. The display shows the Iguanodon in an incorrect posture, and it is now thought that its tail was held aloft, not on the ground. This museum displays many animal, plant and mineral specimens. Founded in 1850, it was built in the Victorian Gothic style. The central court has a large glass and iron roof.
