Ring-tailed mongoose (Galidia elegans). This carnivorous mammal is around 35 centimetres in length. It has a varied diet, feeding on small mammals, invertebrates, fish, reptiles, eggs, insects and fruit. It is endemic to Madagascar, living in forests. Photographed in Madagascar.
