ARTIFICIAL SUN, 1974. /nA technician at NASA's Lewis Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio, assembles an artificial sun, consisting of 143 tungsten-halogen 300 watt lamps which shine uniformly over a four-foot area, duplicating the sun's radiation on a clear day in the United States. The simulator is used to test solar panel designs. Photograph, 1974.
