The Hammersmith ghost. Ghost of shoemaker John Graham walked every night, and on 4th January 1804 local man Francis Smith decided to lay it. He took his gun and lay in wait. Soon he saw a man in white and challenged him, but receiving no answer he fired and the man fell dead. It was a local bricklayer returning home dressed in a white smock.
