Picture by Roger Bamber : 24 July 2009 : Builders Rob Nitman and Lamin Jatta celebrate the finished restoration of Brighton's Victorian seafront bandstand with a dance on the platform. The ornate bandstand built in 1884 and weighing 23 tonnes was last used regularly in the 1950's has been restored at a cost 0f 瞿950,000 by Brighton and Hove City Council. The bandstand will be used regularly by various bands and choirs throughout the summer.
