Grannies given a day out in the country . Two hundred grandmothers , the oldest 91 years of age and the youngest 60 years of age , were given a day in the country , at Maldon , by the Victoria Dock Mission , Tidal Basin , London . These women are from the poorest quarters of London and many of them have worked since the age of eight or nine years .
