Niagara falls frozen solid from shore to shore . Niagara Falls , caught in the grip of the worst winter America has experienced for many years is frozen harder than at any time within living memory . The Falls have been reduced to a mere trickle of water and curious sightseers flocking from hundreds of miles , have been able to cross the ice from shore to shore . Photo shows , Niagara River , frozen solid from shore to shore below the Falls , seems almost an Arctic landscape . 12 February 1936
