Nedwood House, Woodberry Down Estate, Stoke Newington - the first eight storey block of flats erected by the LCC - are being opened today, Thursday. The block is one of four now being erected; they have private sun balconies adjoining the living rooms, electric fires in living room and first bedroom, and the block is centrally heated by a hot water system fed from a sunken boiler in the courtyard. Accomadation on the whole estate will be provided for 1765 families, or about 5350 people in a variety of flats, aisonettes and two storey houses. 1949
