Mr Herbert Morrison, Lord President of the Council, is attending the inauguration of the new double decker train service - the two deck trains are designed to beat the congestion on the lines to Dartford. Each eight coach train carries 1,016 passengers - an increase of 176. Also on the train is Mr Alfred Barnes, Minister of Transport (below) looking from the windows of the train at Charing Cross.
