The fact that the royal wedding is to be on austerity lines - to the great disappointment of the majority of the British people - and that the King has stated that morning dress and uniforms will be the dress for the occasion, is likely to tax the efforts of West End tailors and shops in the supply of suits. Many of the wedding guests will hire an outfit for the day and Moss Bros, the famous Covent Garden firm who specialise in the hire of suits and uniforms for all occasions, are preparing to meet the demand. They are making plans to supply every guest with a morning suit and extras should the need arise. Members of the staff are now engaged in preparing suits and hats. 3rd October 1947
