Gilded 19th century replica of the Parthenon frieze. Depicting a man and a boy with a robe held between them, as two people sit and converse The Frieze was a relief in pentelic marble, created to adorn the upper part of the Parthenon's naos. It was sculpted between c. 443 and 438 BC, most likely under the direction of Phidias.
