Humphry Davy (1778-1829) chemical English. He discovered to the effects of the esilarante gas (nitrous oxide) and of it he suggested to the use anaesthetic. To 24 years; Davy was university professor of chemistry to the Royal Institution. It founded the electrochemical one and it discovered 6 new elements; between which potassium and sodium that succeeded to isolate in 1807; it invented the lamp of emergency for the miners.
