Porcupine (Erethizon dorsatum) is a large rodent and an herbivor feeding on tree bark, roots, plants. twigs and buds. It is adept at climbing trees. Its body is covered by spines on the neck, back and tail. It's only predator is the Fisher who is adept at flipping the Porcupine over and attacking the soft under belly. Range: Canada, Alaska, and parts of the United State.
