Orange-naped Snake (Furina ornata). This small snake grows to around 65 cm total length. It is an inhabitant of dry woodlands and savannah in tropical northern Australia. It is nocturnal and feeds on small lizards, particularly skinks. It belongs to the family Elapidae, or front-fanged venomous snakes, however its bite is harmless to humans.
