The work started by disconnecting the telephone and television cables from the poles while service was not disrupted. Then new poles were fixed in the ground next to the old ones using mobile cranes, the cables were attached to the new poles, the power was disconnected for several hours during which the power wires were transferred from the old poles to the new ones and, finally, the tops of the old poles were cut off and removed.
