Glaucocystis, a freshwater algae. Each ovoid glaucocystis cell contains two lobed plastids, known as cyanelles. The cyanelles resemble cyanophyta, as if they were endosymbiotic cyanobacteria within colorless chlorophyta algae. Light micrograph, living, differential interference contrast, magnified 200x at 35 mm size.
