Twinberry honeysuckle, Lonicera involucrata, at Maroon Bells, near Aspen, Colorado. Small yellow flowers develop into dark purple berries that are surrounded by two green bracts that turn a showy bright red as the fruits ripen. It is a deciduous shrub that is native to North America, from Alaska and parts of southern Canada through the western US to Mexico.
