The Southern Patagonian Ice Field feeds dozens of glaciers in the region, which then flow through fjords and rivers west to the Pacific and east to the Atlantic. Fifty kilometers of the Chilean-Argentina border located along the ice field are undefined; this border dispute causes occasional difficulty in relations between the countries.
