The Ministry of War (or Defence) building in St Petersburg, Russia. It was formerly the house of Duke Alexander Lobanov-Rostovsky, built in the early 19th century, bought by the State Treasury in 1828 and renovated in 1829-1830. It housed the main departments of the Ministry until its dissolution in 1918. It is a triangular building facing Admiralteisky Avenue, Voznesensky Avenue and St. Isaac's Square.
