Stephen Thomas Ward (1912-1963), the high society osteopath who introduced Christine Keeler to John Profumo, leading to a political scandal and the downfall of the Conservative government. He was charged with living off the profits of prostitution, and committed suicide by overdosing on sleeping tablets on the last day of his trial.
