US President Franklin D. Roosevelt signs the Lease-and-Lend Bill onMarch 11th 1941. 'Lend-Lease' was the programme under which the USA aided the Allied nations with material between 1941 and 1945. Signed a year and a half after the outbreak of World War II in Europe in September 1939 but nine months before the US entered the war in December 1941. Any neutral stance on the war taken by the US was effectively ended with this bill.
