The Coronation Chair of Great Britain, otherwise known as St. Edward's Chair or King Edward's Chair, used for the crowning of British monarchs. Underneath is the famous Stone of Scone (also known as Lai-Fail or the Stone of Destiny), removed from Scone, Perthshire by Edward I in 1298. Tradition alleges that the stone, once the pillow of Jacob, was used at the coronation of the Irish kings at Tara prior to its removal to Scotland.
