Woman police officer, Sergeant Greta Drinkwater (nee Saban), who rose to the rank of Chief Superintendent, and became the first woman to take charge of a sub-division (in 1976). Seen here with a picture by Mary Isabel Leaf, in whose memory the Mary Leaf Fund was established in 1913, a charity whose proceeds benefited the Metropolitan Police Home for Women and Children. With Drinkwater is Tom McMacken, probably an administrator of the Fund.
