In July 1941, during World War 2, Britain and the Soviet Union signed a treaty uniting them in their fight against Nazi Germany. This sixty-page booklet was printed to show 'The strength of our Ally' and used pictographs ' probably provided by the Soviets ' to convey facts and figures. Three photographs show Stalin and Generals Timoshenko and Voroshilov.
