Royal Arcade, Newcastle Upon Tyne, Tyne & Wear, c1963-c1964. An interior view of the Royal Arcade, built by Richard Grainger in 1832, showing some of the demolition in the central hall, with round roof-lights overhead, arcades of segmental arches on either side and rubble on the ground. The arcade was demolished in 1963-1964 to make way for the Pilgrim Street roundabout.
