The Prussian flag before the Sultan of Morocco, 1780, (1936). 'Die Preussische Flagge Vor Dem Sultan Von Marokko, 1780'. A Dutch captain named Klock lost his ship in a storm off the coast of Morocco. He and his crew were caught and imprisoned, but when Emperor Muley Ismael learned that they and their flag belonged to the empire of Frederick the Great of Prussia, he ordered them to be released and gave orders that his ships respect the Prussian flag.
