Memorial to Covid-19 victims, Detroit, Michigan USA. Portraits of Detroit residents who died from Covid-19 lining the roads of Belle Isle State Park as a citywide memorial. The nearly 900 portraits represent the 1,500 Detroiters who died from the virus upto 18th August 2020. Covid-19 is a respiratory disease caused by the coronavirus SARS-Cov-2 that first emerged in Wuhan, China, in December 2019. Photographed on 29th August 2020.
