Offshore oil drilling rig museum. View of the derrick (lifting device) of the Mr. Charlie offshore oil drilling rig, Morgan City, Louisiana, USA, which is now a tourist attraction and training facility. Mr. Charlie was the first transportable offshore drilling platform drilling hundreds of wells from 1954 until it's retirement in 1986. It was named after Charles Murphy of Murphy Oil, the company that built the rig.
