Submarine USS Nautilus entering New York harbour, USA, on 25 August 1958, after her voyage under the North Pole. USS Nautilus was the world's first operational nuclear-powered submarine. She was also the first submarine to complete a submerged transit underneath the North Pole on 3 August 1958.
