5053174 The only aspect of Spittal\'s House visible, Douglas, Isle of Man, 1932 (b/w photo) by Frowde, John James (1868-1946); Manx National Heritage (Isle of Man); (add.info.: On the back of this photograph John James Frowde writes, "The only aspect of Spittal\'s House* visible outside the walled-in area; the upper storey & chimneys - on extreme left. The curious upper structure one and a half inches to the R has often piqued my curiosity. The upper room of the cottage up the entry to the House Yard. Just above the warehouse-like building on the site of the old Thatched House. Bottom R. the total back yard area of the \'Fisher girls\' house as noted on Town Survey 1868. Old painted wall & one blocked window of the Ramsey Inn in lower L corner. The distorted building on R is due to the necessary tilting of the camera & is unavoidable. *22.10.32 Just found that the front is in St. B. Sq. next to No.4."); by Manx National Heritage .
