The Sd.Kfz.232, in the foreground, was a heavy armoured car used by the Germans throughout the Second World War. These vehicles with their long wave radio antennae mounted a 2 cm cannon and a 7.92 mm MG34 machine gun for local defence. The Sd.Kfz.231/232 performed well in the North African desert and was often used to move troops from one battle front to another. The vehicle in the background is an Italian Autoblinda 41 armoured car.
