British Housewives Protest At Meat Ration A deputation of British housewives arriving at the House of Commons today to protest to members of Parliament about the meagre meat ration of 8d per head per week. They come by lorry bearing "figureheads" showing comparisons in the meat rations "then and now" and carried placards, some in rhyme, demonstrating against the recent meat ration cuts.
