Cross Survives Atomic Explosion-Japanese Gift To Lord Mayor -- The Lord Mayor of London, Sir Frederick Rowland (left) received from the Mayor of atom-bombed Hiroshima, Mr. Shinso Hamai a cross made form the heart of a 400-year-old camphor tree that was blasted in the atomic explosion. The presentation was made at the Mansion House, City of London to-day (Wednesday) when Japanese delegates were guests of the Lord Mayor.
