Oranienburg; fruit orchard Eden (Eden non-profit fruit growing settlement eG also "Garden Eden") was founded on May 28; 1893 by 18 Berlin vegetarians as the first vegetarian settlement in Germany. Founded by Bruno Wilhelmi; a supporter of the life reform movement; the settlement was opened to non-vegetarians in 1898 for financial reasons.
